There are not many other possible projects in which management must face the challenge of directing highly technical and trained personnel to interface with very expensive and complex equipment simply to produce information and data primarily for users in external groups. The magnitude of the management task here is indeed great and the skill required to perform this task in a competent manner is considerable. It is a very involved level of skill. Therefore, the more knowledge a manager possesses about human behavior, the better chance that manager has to succeed in meeting his or her professional goals. Before we continue with a brief look at some other factors of human behavior relevant to Information Center management, we will refresh our memories about the topic of "Management Style".
